Sikkim Manipal University Distance Education

Sikkim Manipal University is formally known as SMU has been described as the most
preferable university in the world of Indian distance education. It is located in Gangtok, Sikkim
has established in the year of 1995. The co educational public private fund is a joint venture in
between Govt. of Sikkim  Manipal educational group offering regular and distance courses. It
is offering quality education to the students of North and North Eastern parts of India.

The Sikkim Manipal University  has recognized by Distance Education Council (DEC), University Grants
Commission (UGC), Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and Ministry of Human
Resource Development (HRD). It is offering certificate, diploma and graduation courses in
nine disciplines of education and these are Information Technology, Management, Commerce,
Journalism & Mass Com, Apparel & Fashion Design, Telecom technology, Allied Health
